Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop October 1st, 2011

Hello everyone and welcome to the Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop!
We want to spread the news about this deadly disease that could be cured if it is diagnosed in time.
I know that each and everyone of us has been touched by someone with cancer or has had it themselves.  Please invite your family and friends to participate in the hop with us.  Losing a family member, friend or even out pets is very difficult.  I hope you all HOP through this journey with us.

Think Pink ~  Fight like a Girl
For my beautiful card today I started with pink card stock and used the Spellbinders Labels One Die to cut two pieces for the front and back of the card.  I then took one of those pieces and scored it an inch from the top of the shape.  I saw this on the Graphic 45 Blog.

I then used Terrifically Tacky tape above the score line and at the top of the card to hold it tight!

Then I cut the next layer with the next size Labels One Spellbinder die with the Breast Cancer Ribbon Paper from Me and My Big Ideas which I purchased at Michaels.

Then adhered it on to the front of the card.

Then took White card stock and used the Beaded Circles Spellbinder die for my shape to stamp on.

I used the Pray for a Cure Round stamp set that is included in the Ink Pink Collection by A Jillian Vance Design found HERE and used Jet Black Archival Ink.  The Ink Pink Collection includes the Pray for a Cure stamp set that is 4 x 8, a pink acrylic stamp block to fit the largest stamp in the set, 5 exclusive pewter Charming Jilly Charms hanging on 5 A Jillian Vance Design Pear Pins.  See the Photo at the bottom of this post.  Also $3 from every collection sold benefits the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.  Please visit them at http://verabradley.org/
I then used White card stock and the Small Circles Spellbinder die for my circle in the middle of my stamp.  I wanted to add dimension to this card.  So I then stamped the breast cancer ribbon with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Spun Sugar and then the Fight like a Girl/Think Pink in Jet Black Archival.
I used 3D dots to make each layer pop!  topped it off with some Pink Bling and you have a beautiful card!

You can order the Ink Pink Collection HERE.

Oh my, what a beautiful card! I love that you used so many Spellbinders dies AND told us how to use them too. I just went out for a hunt to find that Labels One die (didn't find it) but came home with another, similar set. I hope it will do for a project I have in mind for it. Your blog is SO refreshing in its design, too. THANK YOU for having your post up and ready to roll when I could visit.
I have a full day of "World Cardmaking Day" plans to craft, and this was my only time to hop!

Fondly,
Ellen ♥ CardMonkey
