Special Dad Mini Album

Well Father's Day will soon be upon us so I wanted to get a head start!

I did a Mini Chipboard Album and Card. 

It is a L O N G post so grab your favorite beverage and a cookie and lets get started!

Well Father's Day will soon be upon us so I wanted to get a head start!

I did a Mini Chipboard Album and Card for my hubby, Jillian's dad who is the best DAD and HUBBY in the universe!

Lets start with the card ~ as you can tell I lost my mojo after the album! But also wanted a simple card that was also on the masculine side.

It is a Canvas Corp card that is black and kraft polka dots! Then I added a layer of the smaller black and kraft polka dot paper from the 6 x 6 stack and a Kraft {die}licious Flag die for the sentiment layer which is stamped from the Celebrate Dad stamp set.  And as you can see the flag can be used without having to fold it in half!

Now for my Album ~ I normally don't do them and this may be my first official one!!!

I used all Canvas Corp papers!  I used the Spellbinders Grand Labels 1 set for shape of the album.

This photo shows the cover of the album using the {die}lightfully Charming Circle Die Set,

 {die}licious Flag die and Spellbinders Square Nested die set too for the squares.  

Ok I lied, the center World Map paper is 7 Gypsies which is owned by Canvas Corp!

This is the second and third page.  That is Jillian when she was 4! Love that photo and look at those curls!  She lost them at about 6 so hoping they come back at some point like my curls did!

Again  used the {die}licious Flag die and Want 2 Scrap Nestabling Scalloped Hearts in Red.

On the third page I used Spellbinders Labels 8 for the photo and mat, the Scalloped Heart die and also Julianna Hudgen's Jewel Keys Die set for the key.  AJVD {die}verse Tag die with a sentiment from Sending My Love stamp set and the I <3 Dad from Celebrate Dad stamp set.

This photo was taken when Jill was 3 1/2 years old.

The fourth and fifth pages hold more recent photos!

On the fourth page is a photo from Disneyland January 2012 when we were there for CHA

We took this photo of them in that same spot in 2005 so it was fun to compare the two.

I used Canvas Corp Jute Rope for my banner and AJVD {die}licious Flag dies.  I stamped D A D from the Type Star Alphabet set ~ which I love because it is the perfect size for our flags ~ just worked out that way ~ not planned!

Then the sentiment is on our Emerald Cut {die}mond die cut.

For the fifth page i used the {die}signer Pocket to hold the sentiment and a tag that holds Jillian's photo that is a favorite of family and friends from 2009.  It was also the photo that Creative Retailer chose to feature in the Spring issue!  I also chose the numbers from Type Star Alphabet for the year.  The polka dot tape is Smash Book Tape!  and the polka dot background on the tag is our Tiny Dots background Stamp.
I used 7 Gypsies black ring and tied the Canvas Corp Jute and AJVD Rinkle Ribbon around the ring!

I love to see what Cath at Moxie Fab is doing ~ wait for that email every evening before I go to bed!

So when I saw they were having a Spectacular Spectacles Challenge I decided to join in!

When Jillian, my daughter who owns A Jillian Vance Design, told me she wanted a Moustache set, I was like "Oh that is a trend that will end soon".  Well 6 months later, it is getting bigger instead of going away ~ so she designed the set and I love it!  

I used the Emerald Cut {die}mond die template to stencil the inside of the smaller {die}mond die using  Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass.  It coordinated nicely with the light teal stripe in the background paper and also the solid card stock.

Then chose the top hat, spectacles and curly moustache from the Mr & Mrs Moustache Stamp set for my card!

Teacher Appreciation and Graduation!

Teacher Appreciation day is coming May 8th ~ be ready with A Jillian Vance Design's new Teacher Treats stamps!

They have a variety of darling and usable sayings to make the perfect Treat for your teacher!

There are 6 that fit perfectly the AJVD {die}verse Tag die and 3 for the AJVD  {die}signer Pocket die.

For this card used the Thank you for teaching me how to get my groove on for the Dance Teacher and the {die}verse Tag die and the  {die}signer Pocket die.  The stamps fit perfectly to leave room for a ribbon thru the hole of the tag.

Mrs. Gottke is one of Jillian's favorite teachers so for her this was perfect to use the Endless Borders stamp set and then Type Star Font to put her name in the circles ~ this was how Jillian designed those stamps to work together.  All ink used is the Martha Stewart Silver pigment ink.

Then the Because you Totally Rock fits on the {die}signer Pocket die, I included an iTunes card.

Well with College and High School Graduations, we needed a new set for those occasions!!!  So next up is Con{GRAD}ulations stamp set! yes Jillian named it that and I love it!!!

It is a 4 x 8 stamp set and we still had more we could have added!

Can I just say I love this card!!!

The base is a Canvas Corp Black and White Dot Skinny Card ~ Love this card!!!  So many possibilities and so much space!

So I used the {die}verse Tag die for the Sentiment in the corner.  The {die}licious Flag Die Set was perfect for this card!  I used the Everyday Flag Stamp Set to create the circles on the flags and then  Type Star Font   for the letters ~ which I discovered fit perfectly in the circles on the stamp to stamp all at once!

Then for the diploma background I used the Emerald Cut {Die}mond Nested Die set.

Did you check out the cut little white clothespins?  Those are Canvas Corp too!

Black Rinkle Ribbon and Licorice Divine Twine was also used!

 The graduation hat was cut from Wild Card Cricut Cartridge at 5 1/2 then used the 1 1/2 circle punch for the round sentiment and our {die}namic Duo Die set for the Sentiment layer which I used the die and Spiced Marmalade to stencil it.  We have two schools in our area one is Orange and Black and the other is Red and Grey!

So for the other card I used the large diploma on the set and hand cut it out, AJVD Quatrefoil Background stamp and Martha Stewart Silver pigment ink ~yes on a roll with that the day I made these cards! lol!

Welcome to A Jillian Vance Design's Mini Release this week!
