Young Crafters Unite! Our Favorite Things Blog Hop ~ July 1st, 2011

youngcraftersunite.com
I am honored to be in the Young Crafters Unite!  Our Favorite Things Blog Hop.

For my project, I have used one of my favorite things a new stamp set from A Jillian Vance Design called "I am my Hair"available for pre-order here
She is my favorite thing for two reasons, she is part of my salon Logo and one of Jillian's new stamp sets!  Just a got to love her ~ very classy lady!
I inked the tag using Tim Holtz Distress Inks Crushed Olive, Worn Lipstick and Faded Jeans, then stamped the Bunny Girl and sentiment in Library Green Archival Ink.  For the stitching at the top ( because my favorite craft was sewing all my life!!!) I used the one of Jillian's new stamps from "More Stitches" found for pre-order here.  I used the Crushed Olive for the stitches.  So here is my project at that point.
Cute but kind of plain with no "pop" to it!  So then I added this:
the little Kraft flower inked in Worn Lipstick and Faded Jeans with a dab of Gold Adirondack Dabber used on it and a tiny button brad and the hand dyed ribbon with Crushed Olive, Worn Lipstick and Faded Jeans all mushed together with Perfect Pearls Mist in Perfect Pearls (another favorite of mine) tied at the top.  Then the Pear Pin in Black from A Jillian Vance Design, you can order them here.  And a little Black Bling from our stash!

Then it still needed something so I added some more hand dyed ribbon behind the flower and sprayed Perfect Pearls Mist in Sparkling Sunflower to finish it off perfectly!

I consider myself a young paper crafter as I just started in 2010 after my daugher Jillian inspired me!  I started sewing  before I could reach the pedal of the sewing machine, I would sit on my mom's lap and sew, while she ran the pedal!  Everyone had a little bag and eyeglass case with their initial zig zagged on it!
Thanks for visiting now head on over to Cathy @
to see what they have created!

Blessings,
Bunny
