Language Arts Binder Cover

Hi,
Here is another binder I did for Jillian who needed binders for three of her subjects at school.  So while she slept the night before school, I did layouts for her binders.  This one is for Language Arts which the new name for Reading and Writing!  We visited our local (1 hr away) scrapbook store, Scrapbook Art, to find this lovely paper!  It is by our friend Jill at Jillibean Soup and part of the Sweet and Sour Soup group!

I used the Spellbinders Grand Labels One to cut out my shapes, which is Crushed Tomatoes layered on top of Sour Salt then I used one of the Sweet and Sour Bite Sized Bits (green square) and punched out of Tomato Sauce paper using the McGill Vintage Label punch and stamped the sentiment "You have the write stuff" on it. The stamp is from Charming Whimsies stamp set by A Jillian Vance Design found here.  The stripe paper is from the reverse of Raisins from that same Soup group!
Then from the front side of Raisins, I used the Epiphany Crafts Studio Shape Tool in Round 14 and  punched out the letters of Jillian's name.  The perfect finishing touch to her binder!
Have a great week!  Please leave me a comment, I love to hear from you all.  Also please become a follower of http://ajillianvancedesign.blogspot.com/  there will be some great Halloween projects coming up in September!!!

Binder Cover for World History

Hi,
Jillian needs binders for three of her subjects at school.  So while she slept the night before school, I did layouts for her binders.  The first is for Social Studies which they will be doing World History.  We visited our local ( 1 hr away) scrapbook store, Scrapbook Art, to find this lovely paper!  It is Destinations by Simple Stories.  She fell in love with it when she saw  it.

I used the Spellbinders Grand Labels One and Labels One to cut out my shapes.

The What a Trip was a stamp from my stash and I used the Epiphany Crafts Round 25 bubble on it.  The strip up the left side was another element of the paper line.
I just love how this turned out!
I cut it to fit in the clear cover of the binder then also cut a strip from another sheet for the spine.

Leave me a comment!
Have a great day.
Blessings,
Bunny

EEK!!! Mini Comp Book!

Ok, by now you are seeing a pattern here ~ more like an addiction!!!
I love doing these little books, they are so cute just plain then to dress them up is even more fun!

Here I used Echo Park Paper Co.'s The Apothecary Emporium papers.
used the EK Success "Boo" punch, some ribbon tassels I had in my stash along with the "perfect for this project" black and orange ribbon.  I used my Martha Stewart spider web punch, McGill Vintage Labels punch for the tag and stamped EEK from A Jillian Vance Design Spooky Stamp Set found here.

Then Spider is also from the Spooky Set.  I then put it under the Epiphany Crafts Round 25 bubble cap which A Jillian Vance Design sells here and added a single tassel with a Pear Pin from A Jillian Vance Design found here.

I just love this little book! Very proud of the way it turned out.

Mini Composition Book "Write Stuff"

I am totally hooked on doing these composition books!  This is a mini version of one.
I did this for one of the secretaries at school, she really made Jillian feel welcome at her new school.
I used Jillibean paper in Raisins (the type key one) for the cover.                                                                            The Brown is the back side of Black Beans punched with a flower edge punch from EK Success.                                                                              For the Sentiment I used the one side of Tomato Sauce paper and the Vintage Label punch from McGill I used the one side of Tomato Sauce.                             The sentiment is from Charming Whimsies stamp set by A Jillian Vance Design found here.
I used the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Shape Studio Tool to punch a K out and used a bubble Round 14 to highlight that K for the secretary's first name.
The Ribbon was from Hobby Lobby.

Jillibean Soup Composition Notebook

Jillibean Soup Composition Notebook

When I saw this blog post from Cricut, I knew I had to do this!  http://cricutblog.org/?p=1249
Perfect timing as Staples had them for 10 cents that week!  I had just gotten the new Jillibean Soup papers and knew that was what I would be using!

I started out with Black Beans for the cover, then used the EK Success punch with the big flowers out of the white with blue dots side of Blended Beans.  The back side of Black beans was used along the spine.  I used Terrifically Tacky Tape as this stuff STICKS!  Make sure you are placing it exactly where you want it because once there is contact, you can't move it! I also finished off the spine with yellow gingham ribbon from Hobby Lobby.  I also used Terrifically Tacky Tape on it too.   I figured Jillian will be taking this to school, it needs to STICK!

I used the Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge to do the black shadow and then Jillibean Soup Tomato Sauce notebook side for the lined shape, they were cut at 4 inches.    I  cut a strip of Blended Beans and then printed the Hello, my name is tag on the computer and  rounded the corners
.
The button is an Epiphany Crafts Button Studio Round 20, for that I used the Barley Pearls from Jillibean Soup. and finished it off with yellow gingham ribbon from Hobby Lobby.  I used Divine Twine in Aqua and Lemon to tie off the button!

Leave me a comment, I love to hear what you have to say!

Blessings,

Spellbinders Goodie Box

Well on Wednesday we received our Spellbinder Goodie Box that Stacey told us she would send Jillian at CHA.  What a total surprise to find a Grand Calibur and 11 sets of dies!
so I got busy and made a few card samples.

The first one is cut with Labels 3 dies.  I love the layered look of this card, then I used the Swirly Monograms found here and an Epiphany Crafts 25 Round Bubble found here to make it even more 3 D.  Love the look of this elegant card!

Second card was with the Labels 21 and fits the Triple Monograms found here perfectly!  This was the Stamp set that prompted me to call Spellbinders, inquiring about a custom die designed for this set.  Well I didn't need one, Labels 21 is perfect!

This is a preview of our Pray for a Cure set available for pre-order in September!  This is the Beaded Circles die set and I love it!   And a little BLING never hurts either!
Leave me a comment I would love to know what you think.

County Fair ~ Your Love Comforts Me.

Hi,
The very first A Jillian Vance Design Team Challenge Theme is County Fair, using A Jillian Vance Design Down on the Farm stamp set.  Pretty appropriate since we just finished up with ours and our State Fair ended yesterday.  Jillian won at the County level with both of her 4-H projects ~ Cake Decorating and Accessories for Teens which she made a purse and some frayed flowers to go with it.  She got to take both of those projects to the Ohio State Fair!

So here is my card I made.  Your Love Comforts Me.

With my love of sewing I couldn't resist using Jillibean Soup's new Black Beans paper that is quilt blocks!   I cut it at 3 x 4 inches and the burgundy background at 5 1/4 by 3 3/4 inches and then used the Martha Steward paper punch around the edges.
I had both the Burgundy and Sage card stocks in my stash.  I then punched holes for my brads and added Lemon Divine Twine found here and tied them onto the brads.  I punched 1/8" holes with the hole punch in the middle of each red/pink star and hung the quilt with Pear Pins onto the twine.

Then at CHA I discovered the McGill punch in Vintage Labels which was a perfect fit for the sentiment which was stamped in Jet Black Archival Ink.

Too Cute To Spook

This is a cute card I did quickly for display at our new Scrapbook Art store in Columbus.   Terry has been good to us and we wanted to give her some store samples.  The Ghost was cut from Paper Dolls Dress up at 4 inches, then stamped with a Peachy Keen face.  Distressed with what I thought was Black Soot but looks  more like Old Paper to me ~ Princess and the Paper must have used the Black Soot blending tool with another color ink!  The stamp is from Spooky Stamp Set by A Jillian Vance Design found here and in stock too for the Halloween season!
I love to hear your comments!
Blessings,
