A Gift of Love ~ Gift Bag

This was a fun challenge for the week!  We were to create a gift bag or box!  So since Jillian started out doing gift bags in her business before stamps, that is what I decided I wanted to do!
So check it out!

I am now hooked on Pinterst ~ now that I know what I am doing!  This flower idea came from there.
The base is a Kraft gift bag and the card stock is from Jillibean Soup's Valentine line.

I cut the hearts at 2 inches from Plantin Schoolbook also the leaves at 2 inches too.  You then just fold them and lay on their sides! I stamped with Martha Stewart Silver pigment ink from the A {Little} Love stamp set around the bottom petals, then for the center just used a 1 inch circle punch and stamp with Black Archival Ink.

The stem is also stamped in the Silver ink and the stamp is from Bloom'n Trio Stamp set.  I then just ripped the paper around the curvy stamped sentiment!

This is one of A Jillian Vance Design's new {die}signs ~ exclusive custom dies designed by Jillian!  This one is the Emerald Cut {die}mond.  I used the silver ink to stamp the sentiment from Sending my Love Stamp Set adn topped it off with some Black Baby Bling from Want 2 Scrap!  I used AJVD Rinkle Ribbon for the red bow!

Valentine Grunge Blog Hop

Hi and Thank you for hopping with us!  I want to thank Ruby our Design Team Coordinator for putting this together and Rhonda, our Guest Designer!
I love Grungy stuff but this was really a CHALLENGE for me!  So I had all the ingredients but kept moving things, adding things and taking away things and adding them back!
So here is my Project . . . Ta Daaaaaaaaaaaa!   Ok, so I am pretty proud of this!

I used Kraft paper for the card base which is 6 x 6 distressed with Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs Ink.
I then used the Spellbinders Grand Labels One to cut the Rockin' Red Corrugated Sheet By Jillibean Soup, also distressed with Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs Ink.
Then I used the Spellbinders Postage Stamp dies to cut two out of Kraft and one out of Red Coredination's paper.  Before die cutting the smallest Kraft one, I stamped A Jillian Vance Design heart background stamp from the Sending My Love Stamp Set, then die cut it, it fits perfectly into the open area of the die.  I then distressed all pieces with Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs Ink too ~ I love this ink color! The perfect rich brown!

Then I stamped the red paper with the 14th stamp from the same stamp set along with the postmark stamp in Black Archival ink and used my Epiphany Crafts Heart 25 shape tool and bubble.  I die cut hearts from Rockin' Red Corrugated Sheet By Jillibean Soup using the Scalloped Hearts Spellbinders dies and used the Sprightly Sprockets Nestiboard and Bling by Want 2 Scrap designed by Donna Salazar.  I won a kit from her Ustream the other evening and it was perfect for this project!  The small tag was also from the kit.  I inked it with Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs Ink and Aged Mahogany ink and stamped the sentiment in Black Archival Ink.
The Rinkle Ribbon (by AJVD) was also stamped with the Black Archival ink and the sentiment from Sending My Love Stamp set.  I used the Tim HOltz tiny attacher to staple the ribbon onto the tag!
The key was from a kit from the Tim Holtz class at Summer CHA .
Thanks for hopping by ~ I am happy with all my rearranging and proud of my Grunge Project!

Disneyland Here we Come!

Disneyland ~ and CHA!!!  Here we Come!

Well I love to make altered journals!  I stocked up when the back to school supplies were on sale!
Well since CHA just happens to be in Anaheim, we will also be visiting Disneyland!
So I couldn't resist making my altered journal using Totally Titles stamp set found HERE and HERE on the Spotlight page!
The Spotlight page features our Stamp set of the week at a special price!  This week it is Totally Titles and on sale for only $12 bucks!!!  The sale price disappears on Sunday the 15th and we start the next spotlighted item that we will feature on our blog on Monday the 16th of January for the special price!

On to my Journal:
I took a regular composition notebook and covered Red polka dot paper from my stash!  I use my ATG gun ~ which is giving me fits right now~ so that it STICKS great!  I then took black card stock and my EK Success punch for the smaller flower border and black polka dot paper from my stash for the larger EK Success Flower border punch.  Then I found the red polka dot rick rack in my ribbon stash and glued it on with Glossy Accents.  Then the fun part begins!  What does it need . . .
Well I used the Standard Circles dies from Spellbinders™ to make the Mickey shape then I used the Ribbon tags for the Our Disney Memories which are separate stamp in the Totally Titles stamp set so you can mix and match them all!
Well it was missing something so I looked at my  Mickey head and decided it needed to be Minnie! Then I thought: How do I make a Bow . . .  well two hearts together!  That was cute then I looked at my Want 2 Scrap BLING and YES!!!  It fit on the already cut out Spellbinders Scalloped Hearts!  I had ordered it before Christmas thinking I just might need it and it is the perfect touch!  check out http://want2scrap.com/store/ they have awesome Bling at great prices!  It is truly the best I have used.

A Wedding to Remember

Here is another journal using Graphic 45 paper!  At summer CHA I was looking at their booth which was so totally cool I just can't describe it, like a little cottage!
They gave me a package of paper, just for looking around!!  So I put it in my "good" paper box and haven't really used it until this special occasion.

Jillian and I were asked to donate a handmade item for the Silent Auction at CHA to benefit Charity Wings.org   Check them out  here:  https://scrapbookroyalty.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=110&Itemid=100044

This notebook as well as my Disney one (I will make another one for our family) will be auctioned off at the CHA Member dinner on January 31st.  We are honored they asked us for something to raise money for their Charities of Choice.
So a quick recipe:
Graphic 45 paper in Le' Romantique Collection
Ek Succes Flower border paper punch
A Jillian Vance Design Emerald Cut {die}mond {die}signs Die Templates
A Jillian Vance Design Totally Titles Stamp set
A Jillian Vance Design Pear Pins with black seed beads
A Jillian Vance Design Rinkle Ribbon in Gold
Want 2 Scrap Black Baby Bling

Black Baby Bling on the corners

AJVD Emerald Cut {die}mond {die}sign used for the tag and a Pear Pin
Also shown is a altered journal for my nephew's family to take on their three week track from Ohio to Utah!
I used Type Star Font for this album's charm using their last name initial and pinned it on with a Pear Pin!

Thank you SNOW much!

Thank you SNOW much!
I have Snow much to be thankful for, we had a wonderful Christmas with Family and Friends.
I made this card with my gift givers in mind!  What a beautiful color of blue card stock, they photos do not do it justice!

I cut this 5 x 5 inch card and layer it with snowflake printed paper from DCWV.  Then layered a wide strip that I stamped with Silver Color Box ink.  I then stamped the snowflake and used a 1 1/2 inch circle punch to make a charm to Pear Pin on the ribbon.  Which just happen to match the card stock perfectly! Simple but elegant!
