Red Glitz Valentine!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!
Today I have an elegant but pretty simple card ~ you know me, easy peasy is my favorite way to make cards.

For this card, I grabbed my Vintage Floral Flourish Background Stamp, some Wow Embossing Ink and Wow Red Glitz embossing powder and created these lovely backgrounds for the Slimline Heart Window Cover Plate. It gives me Red Velvet vibes!
Using the Love from the same set, and a couple sentiments from Happy Hearts Stamp set.  I added the red Slimline Essentials Backdrop in Red and there you have a beautiful card!
The Sentiment banners are also from the Slimline Essentials Backdrop Die Set, they were perfect for this scriptures.

Thank you for visiting today! Enjoy the rest of your week!

A Pair of Valentines!

Hello, so Tuesday night on our live we decided to feature the Happy Hearts Stamp Set. This set is a 6x8" stamp set that features two heart graphics and a bow graphic.  it's kind of a sleeper set because it came out right when the pandemic was starting and shows were stopping!
Our Stitch Dot Heart Backdrop dies match the two hearts and will cut them out.

So so I decided to use the set and do two similar cards but with totally different types of coloring.

For this card I use the new watercolors that Jillian got, they are Kuretake GANSAI TAMBI  from Japan. We had seen them used by several designers and decided to try them.
They are a lot of fun but it does take a lot of patience. The colors are just very vibrant and beautiful! I didn't do this on the live because it's kind of boring watching me paint and letting it dry. So you'll see where we take that image and use one of the heart dies to cut it out on the video.
I used the the Mini Slim Backdrop Die and the new yet to be released Mini Slim Quatrefoil Cover Plate as the card base, and a Sentiment Strip from the Slimline Essentials Backdrop Die Set

For this one I embossed with clear Wow Embossing Powder and then went over it using Jillian's Signature Ink Blending brushes with Villainous Potion and Worn Lipstick distress ink, and once you do that, gently wipe it with a paper towel and it will bring out the white of the cardstock, under the clear embossing powder. Then I popped them both up using Foam Tape, on the Mini Slim Backdrop Die and the new yet to be released Mini Slim Quatrefoil Cover Plate.  This plate will be coming out in February and will be shipping at the end of February. It's gorgeous just like her other quatrefoil cover plates which is one of her most popular cover plate designs. I used a Sentiment Strip from the Slimline Essentials Backdrop Die Set

Here is the video if you would like to watch! Warning: we do chit chat a lot!

Snowman Love

Hello! Boy am I having fun with Jillian's new Signature Ink Blending Brushes!
The size is PERFECT and they blend so smooth!

To create the background I die cut a Knit Stitch Cover Plate, then placed it on my Stitch Dot Rectangle and used Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink to blend.
Then I cut out all the parts of Sam E Snowman, and added a Stitch Dot Heart for him to hug!
The sentiment is from Snowman Sentiments Stamp Set and stamped in Black Soot Archival Distress Ink. I am loving that new ink as it is a BLACKER Black than just Jet Black Archival!
Added the Basic Rectangle in Teal for the card base.
Thank you for stopping by!

Elegant Sympathy Card

Happy Thursday, Bunny here again with some Easy Peasy Elegant Cards.

Unfortunately, I have needed Sympathy Cards recently. I decided simple is best!
Just a couple layers, some embossing powder and you have an elegant card.

First I took the Rectangle Backdrop and cut the largest layer for the card background to adhere to my white card base. Then I cut the largest Stitch Dot Backdrop and used Wow Embossing Ink, stamping the Paisley Plume Background Builder Stamp, then Wow Embossing Powder in Silver. Navy and silver is such a beautiful combination.
Then cut a smaller layer of the Stitch Dot Backdrop for the With Sympathy sentiment from With Sympathy Stamp Set. Matching it with the silver cardstock for the base of that layer using the correct size of the Rectangle Backdrop. You could have also used the With Sympathy Word Die cut in Silver for a different look.
Adhered them together then to the card base and done!
Easy but yet elegant.

Here is a Christmas Card I did with the same style. You could also do Birthday or Get Well;
It really works for any occasion!

For this card I used Elegant Christmas Stamp Set for the sentiment and Wow Embossing Powder in Rich Gold for the embossing. Just a stunning card in person!
Thanks again for stopping by!

Birthday Candles!

Happy Wednesday! I am back again today!
We are missing Rosemary, she is a wonderful designer who was with us over 6 years on the Design Team.
We want to THANK her for her gorgeous designs with A Jillian Vance Design products!

Today I am showing another Birthday Card, I am hooked on this PhotoPlay paper!
We were fortunate enough to be across from Jody and his staff at Mega Meet in October. Jillian shopped their booth SEVERAL times and got some great papers!

Today I decided we needed birthday candles...but how?
Well I used So Many Stitched Sentiments to cut them, and the flame from our Classic Candle Die Set and BAM we have Birthday Candles! And isn't that paper just perfect for the candles?

Of course, you can't go wrong with the Signature Polka Dot A2 Cover Plate either!
Sentiment strip is from Slimline Essentials Backdrop Die Set ~ A must have for every crafting stash!!
Happy Birthday sentiment is from Make a Wish Stamp Set.
I popped up the candles using our Studio Essentials Foam Tape.
Have fun and look at your dies to see what you can mix and match to improvise to create something new and fun!
Have a great week!

Pink Happy Birthday!

Happy January!
This month we have a couple of birthdays coming up!
First today is Sam's birthday, my husband and Jillian's awesome dad!
AND then on the 20th of January it is A Jillian Vance Design's birthday ~
12 YEARS!!!
Yes, Jillian started A Jillian Vance Design 12 years ago, January 20th 2010!
You can read about her story HERE!

Today I am showing the NEW Happy Birthday Word Die!  It is a great size to make a bold impression.
I added a Square Backdrop as the gift box, then the 1/4" Sentiment Strip and a Mini 3D Bow for the package. Notice the "tails" are a little different, just fold in the middle to create this look! Easy Peasy!

I used the Signature Polka Dot A2 Cover Plate as a background and a Stitch Dot Rectangle under it for the white on white look, then a Rectangle Backdrop for the card base in matching pink cardstock.
This card was pretty quick to whip up!
Thank you for checking out my card today! Watch for more Birthday Cards coming up!
Have a great week!
