A Sweet Retirement

Hello and Happy Friday!
How sweet is the Bee Kind Stamp and Die Duo
I love it!

Today for my card, I started with my usual card base of I started with the Basic Rectangle Die Set and the Stitch Dot Rectangle largest dies. In the Stitch Dot Rectangle I cut a window, using the medium sized Stitch Dot Hexagon Backdrop die. They have stitching accents on both sides of the cutting line so it is perfect to cut a window or a frame and keep your stitching! The paper in the window is a retired Jillibean Soup pattern. LOVED her stuff! Wish it was still in production.

Layering the Daisy Die as well as the Open Daisy Die together, because I just LOVE that look! And added the Swirly Vine in lime cardstock, to make those white and yellow daisies pop! I stamped the bee from the Bee Kind Stamp Set in Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink and then stamped again in Jet Black Archival.  Using my MISTI is the easiest way to line it up perfectly! Then I die cut it with the coordinating Bee Kind Dies.
I added the sentiment strip from the Fresh Florals Arch Die Set and stamped the sentiment in Jet Black Archival.
And there you have a pretty retirement card!

Thanks for joining me today, have a blessed weekend!!

PEEP-sake!

This card was so fun to make!

First I started with the largest Basic Rectangle Die Set in light pink cardstock, layered the Diagonal Stripe Cover Plate on top in white.
So Trudy the Chick also creates an egg, and a cracked one if that is your preference with the zig zag edge die that is included in the Trudy the Chick Die Set. I ink blended a little Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke to give some dimension to the egg.
I then grabbed my Peepster Lives Stamp and Die Set for the small peep and sentiment. Such a DARLING set! Love Peepster from years ago and they are back and even better!
The grass and tulip is from Hootie the Owl Spring Add On Die Set
and the cute little blue bird is from Feathered Friends!

Thank you for joining me today, have a blessed weekend!

Clucky Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
It's your Clucky Day!
How CUTE is Trudy the Chick, in a bunch of daisies?

First I started with the largest Basic Rectangle Die Set in white cardstock, layered the Dancing Daisies Cover Plate on top of the base layer, then layered the Open Dancing Daisies Cover Plate also cut in White, on top of it! Yes, 3 layers right off the bat!
I added the Yellow centers from both of the Dancing Daisies Die Sets
Next up I added Trudy the Chick, cut in yellow and ink blended with Distress Oxide in Mustard Seed for dimension. The daisy in her wing is from the Daisy Die Set and the Open Daisy Die Set.
The Stem is from the Petite Pot and Vase Die Set and the leaf is cut from the Swirly Vine Die.
The sentiment is from Oh Cluck! Stamp Set stamped in Jet Black Archival Ink on a So Many Stitched Sentiment Strip!

Thank you for joining me today, be safe and have a blessed weekend!

Many Thanks Plant Shelf!

Today I have a fun little Thank you card!

In January, Connie showed us how to use the Antique Sewing Machine as a shelf! What a brilliant idea!!! I didn't even "see" that when we were playing with it!
You can check out her post HERE.
So I decided we needed a Plant Shelf card!
I first started with the largest Mini Slim Backdrop cut in cream cardstock, then added the Mini Slimline Stitched Plaid Cover Plate.
I cut the Antique Sewing Machine out of Kraft cardstock, I taped the back so the small decorative pieces stayed in place. I then cut off the top to create this shelf! Then used the Weathered Wood INKboss Plate to add some texture, then ink blended Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink to bring out that texture.

I cut the cute little Mini Flower Pots from the Mini Spring Mix Die Set, using a rust colored cardstock, then ink blended with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink to "dirty" them up!
The grass is from the Hootie Spring Add On Die Set as is the little bow.
I used So Many Stitched Sentiments and the Many Thanks sentiment from the Sew Blessed Stamp Set, stamped in Jet Black Archival ink.
Thanks for joining me today! Enjoy your week!

Looking Good Trudy the Chick!

How cute is Trudy the Chick?
She was a customer request by several people who wanted her the same size as Hootie so she could use his accessories!
AND Jillian thought it was a great idea too!

So Trudy the Chick can wear, Hootie, Rudy and Friends accessories, plus the Santa and Friends hats too! and you can mix and match all the sets.
So Trudy is quite the Chic Chick!
Here is is taking a selfie complete with sunglasses and matching red glitter lips and bow!

This is just a fun card for any occasion.
I started with the Basic Rectangle Die Set and the Stitch Dot Rectangle largest dies.
I used the Chicken Wire Stencil and Metallic Stencil Butter in Platinum to the create Chicken Wire background.
Then I layered on the Instant Photo Frame, stenciled using Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink and the Scattered Stars Stencil...because Trudy is a STAR!

Then bright yellow cardstock for Trudy and ink blended again with MustardSeed and Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxides to just give that slight color change for her wings and "hair feathers"
I found a glittered piece of cardstock in our stash which I think was embossed with Wow Embossing Powder in Red Glitz to cut out her lips and red bow!
Glasses, which are included in the Trudy the Chick Die Set were cut out of Silver Mirricard and black so she is wearing shades! lol!
Sentiment is from Oh Cluck! Stamp Set...such cute Chick sentiments!

Peepster Lives!

Just out here Hangin' with my peeps!
I love these Peeps and they are BACK!!!
These have always been a customer favorite and due to customer requests, they are back.
Peepster Lives comes as the stamp and die duo for one price!

I started with the Basic Rectangle Die Set and the Stitch Dot Rectangle largest dies.
I used the Signature Polka Dot Stencil and Brutus Monroe Glitter Glaze in Emma Pink.
Then cut the Peepsters out of the same colored Pink cardstock. Stuck again with my favorite Pink monochromatic card theme!
Everything but the blue bow tie is cut from that same pink 110lb cardstock.
Stamped the sentiment in Jet Black Archival on a So Many Stitched Sentiments strip.
Added a pink bow to the little girl peepster and a blue bow tie to the little boy peepster and what a darling card it turned out to be!
The Emma Pink Glitter Glaze is perfect for that cardstock, just enough sparkle!

Thanks for joining me today!
