Many Thanks Plant Shelf!

Today I have a fun little Thank you card!

In January, Connie showed us how to use the Antique Sewing Machine as a shelf! What a brilliant idea!!! I didn't even "see" that when we were playing with it!

So I decided we needed a Plant Shelf card!

I first started with the largest Mini Slim Backdrop cut in cream cardstock, then added the Mini Slimline Stitched Plaid Cover Plate.

I cut the Antique Sewing Machine out of Kraft cardstock, I taped the back so the small decorative pieces stayed in place. I then cut off the top to create this shelf! Then used the Weathered Wood INKboss Plate to add some texture, then ink blended Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink to bring out that texture.

I cut the cute little Mini Flower Pots from the Mini Spring Mix Die Set, using a rust colored cardstock, then ink blended with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink to "dirty" them up!

The grass is from the Hootie Spring Add On Die Set as is the little bow.

I used So Many Stitched Sentiments and the Many Thanks sentiment from the Sew Blessed Stamp Set, stamped in Jet Black Archival ink.

Easter Chick

Happy Wednesday!

How about an Easter Chick?

Trudy the Chick is so adorable and is new to the Friends Collection that includes:  Hootie the Owl, Rudy and Friends and now Trudy!

 This darling Chick can be dressed up for Easter or any other occasion. She is sized so that the Hootie the Owl Add on Die Sets and Rudy and Friends accessories will fit her too! Looking for the perfect sentiments? Oh Cluck! is the coordinating stamp set.

I started with the Basic Rectangle Die Set and the Stitch Dot Rectangle largest dies.

I used the Signature Polka Dot Stencil and Ornamental Octagon 6 x 6 Stencil I wanted the background broken up a bit as well as it looking like a ray of sunshine!

I used Distress Oxides in Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron for the background.

I shaded Trudy the Chick with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide.

Her accessories are from the Hootie the Owl Spring Add on Die Set aren't they adorable? That little basket! So cute! It is cut out of Kraft paper and shaded with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide.

The pink bow is from Peepster Lives Die Set

and the grass is from the Easter Basket Add On Die Set for the Bountiful Basket Die Set.

The sentiment is from Spring Hootie Stamp Set stamped in Jet Black Archival Ink on a So Many Stitched Sentiments Strip!
