Shadow Box

Hello, Bunny here and I am back with a really fun project.
I already made a shadow box using several of Jillian's floral dies including the new Bold Blooms Mega Die Set and her Garden Mum Mega Die Set
We displayed it at the Akron stamp show and everyone loved it. Photos of that coming soon. It has glass so I have struggled getting a good photo without a reflection!
Walking through Target the other day,  I found this small round metal tray in the Dollar Spot! Immediately I thought that would be perfect for a shadow box!

I started cutting the Bold Blooms Mega Die Set  in white cardstock, then the Garden Mum Mega Die Set in a beautiful rusty red cardstock!
To create these beautiful roses using the Bold Blooms Mega Die Set, you will need 4 of the largest size. This is also if you want to create smaller ones, just cut 4 of the largest size you want them to be.
Two of those, you will turn the petals down, then the other two you will turn the petals up. I use the Petal Pusher and Shape Up Mat. You can also use the Petal Pusher and use it as if you were curling ribbon by holding the die cut in the middle and curling those petals either up or down.
Then you will need 2 of each of the smaller sizes, in which you turn so they fill in the spaces in the petals, so they are offset from each other.
I recommend only using 3 or 4 more sets, that way it leaves the rose a little open in the middle. Those will need the petals curled up, so they curl in towards the center. I used the Delightful Daisy Jr Die Set for the leaf on the roses.
For the Mums, you will cut 2 of each of the sizes of the Garden Mum Mega Die Set, plus on this I used the medium and small center and layered them together.
The petals I curled up slightly to make a cupped shape. Layer as many as you wish, just offsetting them to create fullness. The leaves are from the same set.
I added some Budding Branches in chocolate cardstock.
To attach the flower blossoms, I used foam dots and foam tape. I used Jillian's Just Glue It for the leaves and branches.

I am so happy with how it came out! I glued, using Just Glue It and a 3M hanger on the back so I can hang it in the show booth for all to see!

A Red Poppy!

Hello and Happy Thursday!
These weeks just fly by!
Today I have a card that really drew a lot of attention at the show!
Everyone is loving the Bold Blooms Mega Die Set.
It is so versatile as it can be shaped to look like a poppy, or a rose!
And the possibilities are endless with your imagination and ability to shape it how you want it!

First I started with a white Slimline Essentials Backdrop for my card base, then added the Slimline Signature Polka Dot Cover Plate
Cut the Flower Pot in Kraft cardstock, stamped with a sentiment from Welcome Spring Stamp Set in Jet Black Archival.
To create the stem, I used the Top Stitch Edges Die Set, it brand new and has unlimited possibilities as well!
the leaves are cut from Garden Mum Mega Die Set.
The Poppy is cut from Bold Blooms and using my Petal Pusher and Shape Up Mat, I shaped the petals down so they pop off the card. I then adhered it using a foam dot so it kept the shape of the petals and didn't flatten them out.
I just used the smaller petal layers to create the little blooms. I used a Want2Scrap Baby Bling in Black in the middle of them, and a larger one in the middle of the large bloom.

My card from May 3rd, was very similar using the Garden Mum Mega Die Set. Both are awesome sets that can be shaped in so many ways!
Thank you for stopping by today!

Happy Hello!

Hello, Happy Wednesday already!
We want to thank EVERYONE who came and saw us at Adventures in Stamping in Akron, Ohio, last weekend. It was a great show and great to see familiar faces and make new friends!
We sincerely appreciate your business and support of Jillian and A Jillian Vance Design!
We had this card on display and it was a HIT!

I started out with the Slimline Essentials Backdrop Die Set cut in Black Cardstock, then added the Slimline Signature Polka Dot Cover Plate cut in the same black cardstock.
The Flower Pot is cut from Kraft cardstock. Stamped with a sentiment from Everyday Greetings Stamp Set in Jet Black Archival Ink.
I then cut the Garden Mums Mega Die Set in Bright Yellow cardstock, I shaped them using the Petal Pusher and Shape Up Mat, turning the petals up rather than down. With the new flower dies, it is so fun to create different looks just by the way you shape the petals!
I used lime cardstock to cut the leaves from the Bold Blooms Mega Die Set and a Want2Scrap Enamel dot in the middle of each one.
Such a bright and cheery card!
Thanks for joining me today!
