Sweet Valentine

Hello, Bunny here again today on this first of February!
I am hooked on the Fresh Florals Series!  (also they are on a great special so check out at the bottom of the post!)
Today I have a soft and sweet Valentine for you.

For the card base, I used the Basic Rectangle Backdrop and layered the Brick A2 Cover Plate on top of that I also cut a pink cover plate so I can have the pieces to inlay to make it look like a ribbon. Plus added the Mini 3D Bow. It's such a cool effect that makes it look like a ribbon is woven through the card front.  How sweet is that? I love that look, perfect for a baby card as well!

Then I used the same pink cardstock to match the "ribbon band" and embossed the image using Brutus Monroe's Pearly Rainbow Embossing Powder and the Fresh Floral Bouquet Stamp Set. It's just gorgeous on the soft pink cardstock, photos do not do it justice.
Then using the Stitch Dot Heart Backdrop Die Set, I cut the heart out of the embossed floral bouquet image.
Then using the scrap part that was left over, I used the "love" word die from the Slimline Hearts Windows & Words Cover Plate,  cut it out of the embossed part and then another one out of the plain card stock so I could layer them together, you can see that in this photo as it pops it up a little bit.
Glued it on the heart and then heart on the brick and you have created a sweet valentine!

A Pair of Valentines!

Hello, so Tuesday night on our live we decided to feature the Happy Hearts Stamp Set. This set is a 6x8" stamp set that features two heart graphics and a bow graphic.  it's kind of a sleeper set because it came out right when the pandemic was starting and shows were stopping!
Our Stitch Dot Heart Backdrop dies match the two hearts and will cut them out.

So so I decided to use the set and do two similar cards but with totally different types of coloring.

For this card I use the new watercolors that Jillian got, they are Kuretake GANSAI TAMBI  from Japan. We had seen them used by several designers and decided to try them.
They are a lot of fun but it does take a lot of patience. The colors are just very vibrant and beautiful! I didn't do this on the live because it's kind of boring watching me paint and letting it dry. So you'll see where we take that image and use one of the heart dies to cut it out on the video.
I used the the Mini Slim Backdrop Die and the new yet to be released Mini Slim Quatrefoil Cover Plate as the card base, and a Sentiment Strip from the Slimline Essentials Backdrop Die Set

For this one I embossed with clear Wow Embossing Powder and then went over it using Jillian's Signature Ink Blending brushes with Villainous Potion and Worn Lipstick distress ink, and once you do that, gently wipe it with a paper towel and it will bring out the white of the cardstock, under the clear embossing powder. Then I popped them both up using Foam Tape, on the Mini Slim Backdrop Die and the new yet to be released Mini Slim Quatrefoil Cover Plate.  This plate will be coming out in February and will be shipping at the end of February. It's gorgeous just like her other quatrefoil cover plates which is one of her most popular cover plate designs. I used a Sentiment Strip from the Slimline Essentials Backdrop Die Set

Here is the video if you would like to watch! Warning: we do chit chat a lot!
