Happy 15th Birthday Jillian!

Happy Birthday Jillian!
Well last Saturday was Jillian's 15th birthday! Where have the years gone?
Well you all know her from her awesome stamp and die designs, but she has another talent as well!
She LOVES to play the guitar and sing!  She has even done some local open mic nights, at a coffee shop, in our town.
Here are  couple photos of her and her guitars.
The Red one is a Taylor T5Z electric in flamed maple.
and the Koi Blue is a Taylor 614ce acoustic/electric in spruce top, flamed maple back and sides.
Both sound just as beautiful as they look!
So for her birthday I wanted to make her a guitar cake. And just how do you do that . . .
Well I have always loved baking so I have a lot of supplies, as well as Jillian taking Cake decorating for 4-H  and I did our wedding cake too!

So I got out my oval pans and started to work, she said she wanted Red Velvet and Blue Velvet, which is a buttery vanilla flavor and OH SO GOOD!!!

I traced her first guitar ( a black Fender T-Bucket) to get the shape, then used Rice Krispie Treats to shape in between the ovals.

Added the blue icing to match her Taylor 614 ~ since her birthday is 6/14/1999!!!

And here is the finished cake! I was pretty proud of it though not perfect, tasted delicious!
Thanks for stopping by!

Autumn . . .

Autumn is such a gorgeous time of the year! I love this sentiment which Jillian brought back from her original Autumn stamp set she did her very first year in business!

I decided to venture out and make my own shaker card!  It isn't perfect but I am pleased with the way it came out!
I encased the AJVD Tranquil Tree in the oval using the plastic from one of our clear packaging bags!
Using  "confetti" from Michaels and some Autumn Flower Soft in my oval to create the "shaker stuf".  The sentiment was stamped with Ranger Archival Ink Wendy Vecchi Signature Series in Potting Soil.

Today I am introducing Autumn Blessings Stamp Set! This set is so elegant as well as it features a touch of Chalkboard art too!  It will fit most of our dies as well as Autumn is God's gift . . was designed to coordinate with the AJVD Chalkboard Backdrop Die Set!
This set is in stock and shipping!

Celebrate Freedom

Wow I can't believe we are two weeks from the 4th of July! Where has this year gone!
I wanted to show how  you can use these quilt blogs for more than just "sewing cards"  The Red, White and  Blue cardstock turned the Eight Point Star Quilt Block Die into the Patriotic Star!
I love how this came out, simple yet elegant!

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day!
This is a quick and simple card but cute card!
I cut the circle with the moustache die centered in in middle of it, so then I could embed the black moustache into the blue circle.
I used Vintage Photo Distress Marker and my Tim Holtz Spritzer to "dirty" up the blue.
The sentiment Happy Father's Day curved on the block to fit the circle, then stamped in Jet Black Archival.
I then added a Banner {die}tails behind the circle in masculine looking paper by 7 Gypsies.
