Pink Happy Birthday!

Happy January!

This month we have a couple of birthdays coming up!

First today is Sam's birthday, my husband and Jillian's awesome dad!

AND then on the 20th of January it is A Jillian Vance Design's birthday ~ 

12 YEARS!!!

Yes, Jillian started A Jillian Vance Design 12 years ago, January 20th 2010!

Today I am showing the NEW Happy Birthday Word Die!  It is a great size to make a bold impression.

I added a Square Backdrop as the gift box, then the 1/4" Sentiment Strip and a Mini 3D Bow for the package. Notice the "tails" are a little different, just fold in the middle to create this look! Easy Peasy!

I used the Signature Polka Dot A2 Cover Plate as a background and a Stitch Dot Rectangle under it for the white on white look, then a Rectangle Backdrop for the card base in matching pink cardstock.

This card was pretty quick to whip up!

Hello 50!

Water Colored Lights!

I have discovered I really like watercoloring! I remember those watercolor books as a kid that you just dip that paint brush in water and start brushing on the pages.  Well my technique is very similar! I tap some Distress Ink or scribble some watercolor marker on a stamp block and just spritz with water and start painting!

By using Clear embossing powder, it gives the lights a very unique floating on air look! A simple, quick and easy card!

Happy Birthday!

Hello, today I am showing a new A Jillian Vance Design Stamp set and Die Set!

These are going back to basics that can be used in so many ways!

Happy Birthday Stamp Set features Happy Birthday done several different fonts along with balloon strings!  You decide which one fits your style of card!

The Balloon Trio Die Set is a great set of Dies featuring inner dies that can be used to make shaker card elements ~ or you can create solid balloons like I did here or use the inner dies to inlay patterned paper too!    Or use the inner dies to make smaller balloons

I have wanted to try water coloring and just hadn't taken the time!  Then the generous people at Crafters Companion sent us Spectrum Aqua markers and OH MY we are in love! I used them by coloring on a stamp block, then using a water brush, just colored the watercolor paper. I then die cut the balloons for a gorgeous varied effect!  And Easy Peasy too! These stamps and dies are in stock and shipping!
