Shimmery Lovely Lantern

Hello!

Today I wanted to share a card using the Lovely Lantern. I love this new Holiday die Jillian came out with, but not just for holidays, she created a spring card using it too, you can find it HERE!

There are so many options of finishes for it. 

Just plain cardstock, shimmer spray, embossing powder, glitter glaze, stencil butter and glitter just to name a few!

For this card, I used the Basic Rectangle as a base, then used Tim Holtz Shimmer Spray in Tarnished Brass and the Brick Cover Plate as a stencil. 

Then using some of Dyan's Shimmer Sprays, sprayed the Lantern in Black Marble, Holly in Cut Grass and light bulb from the Christmas Light Shaker Die Set using Tim Holtz Antiqued Bronze. All giving such a different look!

Yes, the lantern works great with the Christmas Light Shaker Die Set too!

Added the Holly and Swirls, and using Christmas Red Stickles, I accented the berries.

Tied a seam binding bow and then pinned on Christmas Tiny Tags with a Pear Pin. 

This stamp set revived, out of the vault, from customer requests, now comes with dies as well as Pear Pins.

Merry Christmas

Hello, Bunny here, with a silver and white Christmas card featuring our BACK in stock

Holly and Swirls die set!

This oldie but goodie is back in stock and shipping! I used the Stitch Dot Square Backdrop as the base for the card. Then cut the Holly and Swirls in Silver Mirricard (hard to tell in the photo) add an elegant touch to this card.

Using the Bold Snowflake as a background image, then layering with Holly and Swirls, I added a couple Poinsettia blooms and the Merry Christmas (cut apart) from the Holiday Scripty Greetings!

Three Seasons Cardinal

I was so excited when we got our new Cardinal Die, first I love Red Birds and see many which reminds me that my dad is watching over us! Second...I actually designed and drew this die!  (Jillian lets me do that at times!) I am not an artist by any means but have learned over the years to merge shapes to create what I want to create in Illustrator and it is like a fun game for me!

So after making several Christmas cards, I thought, THIS bird doesn't have to be RED!

So here he is dressed up as a Blue Jay for Spring.

Introducing AJVD's New Grandpa's Glass Series

This is a hard post to write, tomorrow it will be 6 months since my dad passed away (Jillian's grandfather).  It hasn't been easy as we miss him so much.  There are so many great memories we have together and one is all the stained glass he did for us and many others as gifts.  After retiring from farming he became a stained glass artist! So Jillian decided we needed a series of dies to honor the memory of her grandpa. Introducing Grandpa's Glass... There are two dies in the series so far, Grandpa's Glass: Candles and Grandpa's Glass: Lantern which is the one I used for this card. They are designed to layer and mat with our Basic Rectangle Backdrop and our Polka Dot Rectangle Backdrop die sets for the perfect matting! Jillian and I love layering on a card! There are so many options with these dies, you could use vellum and color in the areas, inlay colored pieces such as the holly or candles, use for a luminary ~ the possibilities are only limited to your imagination! AJVD products used:
