Introducing Sam E. Snowman!

Jillian wanted a shaker Snowman die so. . .
Introducing Sam E. Snowman!
In collaboration with Melyssa from Whimsie Doodles we created a darling shaker snowman with many options!    The longer scarf piece doubles as his hat band, you can add holly, a star or a snowflake to his hat or surroundings.  Use the button for his belly and you can make it a shaker card using the inner circle die OR just a plain snowman with no cut out like Jillian did in this blog post.  The inner circle will leave stitching on the negative cut of his body to give a special accent to your shaker card.

Using Simply Snowflakes Stamp Set, I stamped my Polka Dot Backdrop Die cut out of navy cardstock with Ranger Embossing Ink then using Frosted White embossing powder heat set.  I wanted a frosty chalkboard look so I just rubbed chalk over those embossed snowflakes! Then taking a dry cloth, lightly rubbed over it to show more of the navy background.
To learn how to create a shaker card, go to the A Jillian Vance Design Blog for more details HERE!

You can see the stitching around the shaker part of the snowman.  I also used Want2Scrap Baby Bling in Black for his eyes.

Using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares, I popped up the banner and the holly leaves from the Holly & Swirls Die Set
The sentiment is from a new set to be released ~ Frosty. Frosty has great snowman sentiments as well as a primitive snowman to stamp as well.

Pinterest Inspired Snowman Card

I have seen a similar cards on Pinterest here, here and here.
So I thought I am just going to make one with a twist and use AJVD Circle Backdrops and Polka Dot Circle Backdrops to give it even more dimension!  Those two dies layered together give you a 1/16th of an inch matting.
I used Simply Snowflakes to stamp a background in Bahama Blue Memento Ink and the Winter Wishes for snowman face (that was tricky!) and the sentiment (Archival Jet Black) which is placed on the Basic and Polka Dot Backdrops.
The Blue Bow was die cut from the new AJVD Buttons & Bows Die Set! and her arms are branches from AJVD Tranquil Tree!
