Fall Blessings

I love Fall for its gorgeous colors.  I just planted some mums at a home we are putting on the market.
It was where I lived before my hubby and I got married, I wanted it to look welcoming after being a rental home for 17 years!
So my card today features the Daisy Die Set only layered and shaped it to look like a mum!

Using the new Wood Grain Background Builder by Whimsie Doodles stamped on a Polka Dot Rectange backdrop die cut which was then layered onto Chocolate WorldWin card stock cut with the Basic Rectangle Backdrop die, for the card, I then cut the Polka Dot Circle layered with the next smaller one to make the circle wreath.
Added leaves from the Leaves & Petals die set, the daisy made into a mum and a Banner die cut stamped with the sentiment from Autumn Blessings stamped with Ranger Archival Ink in Wendy Vecchi Signature color ~  Potting Soil.
I used Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam squares to pop up the mum and the ends of the banner for more dimension.

Introducing Sam E. Snowman!

Jillian wanted a shaker Snowman die so. . .
Introducing Sam E. Snowman!
In collaboration with Melyssa from Whimsie Doodles we created a darling shaker snowman with many options!    The longer scarf piece doubles as his hat band, you can add holly, a star or a snowflake to his hat or surroundings.  Use the button for his belly and you can make it a shaker card using the inner circle die OR just a plain snowman with no cut out like Jillian did in this blog post.  The inner circle will leave stitching on the negative cut of his body to give a special accent to your shaker card.

Using Simply Snowflakes Stamp Set, I stamped my Polka Dot Backdrop Die cut out of navy cardstock with Ranger Embossing Ink then using Frosted White embossing powder heat set.  I wanted a frosty chalkboard look so I just rubbed chalk over those embossed snowflakes! Then taking a dry cloth, lightly rubbed over it to show more of the navy background.
To learn how to create a shaker card, go to the A Jillian Vance Design Blog for more details HERE!

You can see the stitching around the shaker part of the snowman.  I also used Want2Scrap Baby Bling in Black for his eyes.

Using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares, I popped up the banner and the holly leaves from the Holly & Swirls Die Set
The sentiment is from a new set to be released ~ Frosty. Frosty has great snowman sentiments as well as a primitive snowman to stamp as well.

Glossy 3D Poinsettia Christmas Card with Video Tutorial

Wow, where has this summer gone?  We are less than a month away from school starting again.
But right now it is Christmas in July over at the A Jillian Vance Design blog!

The new Leaves & Petals set from A Jillian Vance Design has so many options!
Check out my post and  How To Video HERE!
(will be linked as soon as it loads!)
I using the three smooth edged leaves, I cut 5 each in Red cardstock.
I then cut three berries from the  Holly & Swirls Die Set for the center.in yellow cardstock.
I used a Circle Backdrop for my base to glue the leaves to.  I arranged and layered to achieve the look of a poinsettia!   I added Glossy Accents to the entire flower as shown in the photo below.

Glossy Accents over entire flower.

I also used  3D Foam Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to "pop" up the poinsettia as shown in the photo below.
Side view to see it POP!

If you would like more information on how to turn the  Leaves & Petals Die Set into a beautiful poinsettia, please watch this video!
