Adorable Mini Quilt Blocks

Happy Wednesday! Bunny here today showing the new Mini Quilt Blocks.
Are they darling or WHAT???

So Jillian had so many customer requests to bring back the Quilt Dies in the last few years.
So after a friend of mine in the sewing industry, who tragically passed suddenly, Jillian decided to bring them back and dedicate them to Joan Hawley of Lazy Girl Designs
I love Joan's purse patterns, they are just perfect, as if I would design the perfect purse for me! And so easy to understand. But she was very well known in the Quilting Community. She definitely will be missed.
So once Jillian decided to bring them back, she wanted to add a twist to them.
So along came the Mini version of the three quilt dies she brought back!
They are just adorable and she sized them to fit the Slimline Window Cover Plates!!!
Along with the Mini Quilt Blocks Die Set, she also added mat layer dies to the original quilt block dies.

For this card, I used the Slimline Essentials as my base, and added the Peace, Love and Rainbows Slimline Circle Cover Plate, both with white cardstock, then added black frames for the Dresden Plate Mini Quilt Blocks and paper from a Photoplay 6 x 6 pad. Inlaying the pieces! Watch our next Tuesday Night Live, July 19th at 7 pm EST, as Jillian will give you some tips on how to inlay those pieces in a quick and easy way!
I stamped the sentiment from Quilt Quotes Stamp Set, YES,  the beloved stamp set...is BACK too!
The Button and Needle is part of the Needle & Thread Die Set, also back from The Vault!
It is so much fun having these to play with again!
Check out all of the Quilting Collection Stamps and Dies HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Hello, Bunny here and I am back with two cards, with different background color schemes...sometimes it is fun to see which one you like best! I am mixed on these however, each has their unique look.
I layered tone on tone for the Slimline Essentials and Slimline Checkerboard Cover Plate, I love that look!
Then used the light pink for the poinsettias which made them POP off the card!
Using the Petal Pusher and Shape up Mat helps them to pop as well.
I attached the Holiday Scripty Greetings sentiments just touching the tops of the poinsettias, you don't always have to have a sentiment laying flat! I attached them with the Just Glue It in a couple of spots on the poinsettia petals.
I was going to use the Fresh Cut Pine, but decided on the Budding Branches and added some Ranger Stickles to them! Perfect little touch of glitter!
This is an elegant card that actually didn't take long to create both of them!

With the black it is harder to see the Slimline Checkerboard Cover Plate in the photo.
But it certainly is stunning in person!

Budding Branches with a bit of Stickles

So the white background is very elegant too! The touches of gold and the stickles on the Budding Branches coordinate.

These Budding Branches give a delicate touch where as the ones on the black background are a little more bold!

From our Nest...and a Spring Card too!

Happy Thursday!
Jillian's' virtual events are over for the year, but I was thinking so what did we use, that MANY people already have and how can I show them a new idea with those products!
So I came up with this darling Winter Birdie (aka Spring Birdie) Slimline Card!
We had SO MUCH fun this year doing the Virtual Events in two Groups.
Most of the die cuts on this card, are from items that came in the bundles!
So grab your supplies and make one for yourself!  Don't forget to check out the Spring one further on down the post!

I wanted to add a little bling to the snow drifts and the Cozy Cottage Birdhouse roof and bottom trim so I used Elizabeth Crafts adhesive and their wonderful Silk Fine Glitter in Cool Diamond I also used their True Red Silk Fine Glitter for the bow!
The snow drifts and roof trim on the birdhouse is from the Sweet Gingerbread Add On that coordinates with the Cozy Cottage Birdhouse.
The Bow, Poinsettia and Pine are all from the Classic Candle Die Set and I used the Petal Pusher and Shape Up Mat Combo to shape the poinsettia.
Spring Birdie in Red makes a great red cardinal for Winter and the Sentiment Strips in the Slimline Essentials are perfect for the sentiments from the New Nest Stamp Set
I also used a Sentiment Strip for the post and embossed it using our INKBoss INKpression Plate.
Topped it off with Snowflakes from A Cool Friend Coordinating Die Set.
I think it makes a darling winter slimline card with items that most of our Virtual Event people already own!

AND....now for the Spring one!
This one I was inspired by one that a Lawn Fawn designer did.
Jillian has always said, if I didn't have a company, Lawn Fawn would fill the craft room!
This is another variation of the winter card, only using the Mini Spring Mix Die Set that is BRAND NEW!!!

The Clouds are from the Peace, Love & Rainbows Slimline Circle Window Cover Plate and are covered in Elizabeth Crafts Silk Glitter in Cool Diamond.
The grass tufts are from the Hootie the Owl Spring Add On Set, it is adorable and makes Hootie into a Bunny or a Flower!
The Lady Bug is in the Mini Spring Mix Die Set as well.
I also used a Sentiment Strip for the post and embossed it using our INKBoss INKpression Plate for this one too!
How fun would a FALL one be with a Black Bird!!!

Introducing the Mini Spring Mix!

Happy Thursday!
Do you ever just wake up with a card idea in your head? That was me this week!
And for once...it came out like I wanted!

I am in LOVE this with the new Mini Spring Mix Die Set! And when you use the Petal Pusher & Shape Up Mat Combo...you can pop those little flowers right out!
Jillian designed it to be used with the Minnie Pearl Bookmark Die, and sized it accordingly.
Well...it is the perfect compliment to her Slimline Window Die Sets.
Here I used the Slimline Heart Windows and Words Die Set and layered it on the Slimline Stitched Plaid Cover Plate which was then layered on the largest die from the Slimline Essentials Die Set.
All in the SAME color of pink cardstock!
I love the miniature flowers and foliage in this set, she also included a butterfly and lady bug! And also has fall and winter leaves and flowers.
They are grouped together in several plates so you aren't dealing with little dies all separate.
The word die "love" comes with the  Slimline Heart Windows and Words Die Set along with "faith" and hope"
This would be a great Valentine card, wedding or anniversary card!
The foliage is pretty bendable and once you glue it, it works great around shapes!
I can't wait to try more with the other window Slimline sets!

Ghoul Friends!

Hootie as a Ghost??? Well we were vendors at an IN PERSON Stamp and Scrapbook Show last week in Sevierville Tennessee and someone asked if we had a ghost.  I explained how I took one of the Oval dies, then used our Elegant Edges to create a "ghost bottom". So when I came home, I thought Hmmm. what can make a ghost besides an oval...so I thought Hootie then use the Elegant Edges like I did on the oval.
While cutting it out, I dropped Hootie and he landed upside down...BAM a GHOST!!!
How cute is THIS!

So just turn Hootie upside down and make some cards for your Ghoul Friends!!!
Those little bows are from the Sweet Gingerbread Die Set and the sentiment from Happy Halloween Stamp set!
If you need your sentiment strips to be shorter than the dies included in the Slimline Essentials, just stamp your sentiment, then place the die on the strip where you want to cut it off, then "lock" in the stitching accent and die cut again, and you have a shorter strip but still keep the stitching accent all the way around! Easy Peasy!
